Praying with a  Mission

  1. There is a growing movement of atheists and agnostics that seems to be marching right into our cities, schools and homes. I am tolerant of diverse belief and opinions but extremely troubled by they way they audaciously mock God. Thinking about it makes me feel surrounded; my emotions swinging from basic anger to grave concern.

Hezekiah must have felt the same when mighty Sennacherib and his army came threatening Jerusalem (2 Kings 18:17 – 19:37). But he prayed (19:15-17): “O LORD, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God…listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to insult the living God.” The Lord answered.

May we pray like the good king that God may ARISE and His enemies be scattered.
