Overcoming The Temptation To Panic

Hope you have been reading through my blog and are following through the lessons I am learning in my church planting process.

Let's dig in for more lessons learnt:

5) Overcome the temptation to Panic and give up

It easy to get panicky in a church planting project. You wonder whether people will be there for a meeting or other event. I want to confess, there are times when I have gotten to almost a place of running off screaming; well, by God's grace I have not done that. The temptation to panic and move on to doing something else other than what the Lord called you to do or a task you know you need to do is normally there and very strong. The lesson for me and what I advice you is, do not panic. When you panic, you get insecure and insecurity gets you into a nervous breakdown.

6) There is no need to be defensive

There is a difference between being defensive and defending. It is in order to defend and fight for your vision but its wrong to be defensive. Being defensive has everything to do with how you handle criticism. Insecurity causes us to handle criticism negatively. I have learned that how I handle criticism can make or break me and the vision the Lord has given me. Everyone of us needs to learn to handle criticism correctly and benefit from it.

  1. Both points lead one to know how one has matured from life lessons metted to him. Life is a lesson indeed.
