Trust and Obey
Friends, church planting is not easy at all! but let me also add quickly, it is the most exciting thing I have ever done and I love every single moment of it. It's adventurous, it keeps your adrenaline high and causes you to stay up late, praying, thinking, writing and reflecting. I love every moment of it. I am excited at the people God is bringing to the church, the connections He is giving us and the many opportunities to impact people for His kingdom. One of the things church planting does is to throw away titles. I have come to derive my identity from who God says I am and not what people say. Its of no consequence what people think of me now. I just want to trust in God and obey Him all the way. Obedience to God has its own challenges and sometimes you feel like you will break down. When things are not working out and it looks like bills will not be paid, equipment won't be set up and service won't happen, God keeps saying go on. In the going on, God reveals Himself as the one who holds time and chance. The one who controls the universe and causes all things to work out together for good. I have seen His faithfulness and I will keep on moving....trusting and walking in obedience for indeed as the old hymn says, "...there is no other way but to trust and obey".
